Role of Trophy Secretary

The Trophy Secretary is responsible for:

• Collecting in all trophies prior to Club Championships
• Liasing with the engraver to ensure that all trophies are engraved correctly with the name of the swimmer.
• Ensuring that any maintenance needed to the trophies is carried out and on the odd occasion that the trophy is full to order a replacement.
• Ensuring the swimmer signs to say that they have received the trophy. This will allow the administration and monitoring of all trophies.
• Ensuring that the trophy cupboard at the Spa, Beckenham is kept updated with any trophies that the club has won and to return trophies as appropriate.
• Liasing with the Meet Secretary, to ascertain trophy requirements for any forthcoming meets and to then place the order with the suppliers. This includes all medals and rosettes for Club Championships, Elementary Galas and any other Beckenham galas as required.
• Ordering any other trophies as required i.e. top boy and girl trophies for club champs and any other special awards. Where possible to be available to distribute medals etc at Beckenham galas and Club champs.
